Resumo:
This paper presents proposed reading and reception of literary texts within the classroom.
The research aimed to study the representation of women in poetry and prose Adelia
Prado and reflect on the reception by the students. This study is an action research,
developed through literary reading lessons and discussions at the public school in the
municipality of Pocinhos-PB, with students employees of the 3rd year of high school EJA
(Youth and Adult Education). As theoretical research framework, we use the ideas Iser
(1996), Jauss (1994), to deal in receiving the literary text; Jouve (2002), Kleiman (1996),
Cosson (2009) Rouxel (2013), Rao (2013) with regard to the teaching reading and
literature; Soares (1999), Alves (1992), Oliveira (2012), Hohlfeldt (2000) for review of
Adelia texts; Aguiar and Bordini (1993) Cosson (2009) with respect to methodological
aspects. The survey results revealed that, through literary experimentation carried out,
bring students to the literary text. It was found that the development of a work of literature
with the EJA of students is possible since we can recognize the wealth of information that
is shared during classes, such as students bring with them experiences, ideologies,
expectations and values that are easily exploited in the discussions.
