Resumo:
Training readers in Early Childhood Education has always seemed a difficult task to conceive,
after all how to train readers at this stage if children still do not read? This was the perspective
of reading only as decoding letters and words. However, today we see the countless
possibilities of bringing small readers closer to the texts, from a good selection to the
application of activities in which literary texts make sense, stimulating children's curiosity and
imagination. In this sense, our research brings as important and indispensable text, in these
first contacts of the child with literature, fairy tales, which came to us from the spread from
generation to generation by the hands / voices first, from storytellers and, since its first
compilation for the written text, it has undergone several adaptations gaining space in other
media and supports. Among the different media in which these texts took on new forms that
drew our attention to this work, it was Cordel Literature that maintains, in its verses, a strong
relationship with children's texts. In the three chapters of the dissertation we tried to establish
these links in addition to proposing reading activities that favor the formation of autonomous
and efficient readers in Early Childhood Education. To this end, we chose the text by
Pinocchio, by Carlo Collodi in adaptations to the string seeking to observe what the adapted
texts maintain or change in their constitution as well as, these points of convergence and
divergence can contribute to the elaboration of proposals for activities of literary reading in
Early Childhood Education. In order to achieve this goal, we seek to carry out a diachronic
study about the evolution of fairy tales, until we reach the Children's Literature that we know
today, and the Cordel Literature, coming from Portugal, however, undergoing transformations
undergone in Brazilian lands gaining shape and characteristics own. The texts chosen as the
main corpus of our research were: Pinocchio or the price of lies, by Manoel Monteiro (2012),
in the booklet and booklet and Pinocchio, by Sírlia Sousa de Lima (2015). Already in the title
of one of the leaflets, it is possible to perceive the permanence of the central point of the
original story, the changes, however, are observed in the constitution of the new text that
moves from prose to verse, gaining rhythm and musicality which will somehow favor the
production of dynamic and playful activities. To support our research, we used a basic
bibliography: Coelho (2010), Darnton (1986), Traça (1992), Abreu (1999), Cascudo (1953 -
2006), Hutcheon (2013), Feijó (2010), in addition to documents for Early Childhood
Education, DCNEI (2009) and BNCC (2017).
