Abstract:
In this research, we reflect about the importance of children's poetry in the sensitive
formation of readers, on the limits of the way children's poems are approached in
textbooks for the sixth year of elementary school, and, finally, from the book of poems
“Chá de sumiço and other haunted poems” (AGUIAR, 2013), we propose thematic
approaches in which Aguiar's poems dialogue with works by different poets. Therefore,
our objective was to investigate and present possibilities of approaches to poems for
readers of classes of the 6th year of elementary school. With regard to children's poetry,
we base ourselves on the contributions of Bordini (1981; 1986; 1989; 1997), Pondé
(1986), Silva (2010), Magalhães (1982), Machado (2007); Averbuck (1993) Aguiar and
Ceccantini (2012) and Held (1980). Regarding the proposals for approaching the poems,
we made use of the reflections and proposals of Pinheiro (2014;2015;2018;2020), in the
creative method proposed by Bordini and Aguiar (1988) and in the literary conversation
proposed by Bajur (2012). Methodological alternatives were sought that could contribute
to an effective experience of the poem in the school context, always prioritizing the text
versus reader interaction, always considered the subject of reading.
