Resumen:
Human beings need to develop several skills to live in society, and one of them is Emotional Intelligence (EI), and this skill is widely discussed in major national and international congresses. The EI provides the opportunity to instigate the human being's ability to deal with their emotions and transform them into positive points. In this study, the EI is aimed at teachers, starting from the context of improving emotional health with contributions from Emotional Intelligence. Its objective was to reflect on the process of illness and the promotion of the emotional health of teachers in the context of Covid19,
which in turn has become notorious for the impact on the emotional health of teachers during this pandemic period, a reason that justifies an investigation. with a view to academic production. As for the methodological approach, it was a field research with an exploratory character and a qualitative approach, with a conversation circle followed by a script with programmed questions developed with teachers of Early Childhood Education at the Brincando e Aprendindo school, located in the city of Cajazeiras-PB As for the findings of this study, it is concluded that Emotional Intelligence should be worked on in the school environment, so that we can deconstruct paradigms about the emotional health of the educator and, thus, perceive the benefits achieved with the practice of Emotional Intelligence in the school routine, as well as provided the interviewees to gain knowledge on the subject.
