Resumo:
The Smart Grid is the future of the Brazilian electricity sector, ensuring a reliable and efficient development of this sector. And in this context, this work will address the potentiality of the idea of Self Healing for electricity distribution networks in Brazil. This idea consists of applying technologies related to control, sectioning and communication in distribution systems. And thus, it promotes the automatic and fast actuation of the electrical system through necessary changes in the topology of the electrical network to allow alternative paths for the flow of energy, aiming to achieve the optimization of the electrical network and consequently reduce the number of consumers affected by a disturbance. The development of this work aims to demonstrate the advantages of applying technologies related to Self Healing in electricity distribution networks. And to consolidate the benefits of the object of study of this work, a comparative analysis was carried out around a simplified model of fault detection in distribution networks, in which the first situation is without the use of the idea of Self Healing and the other situations are with the implementation of Self Healing. Therefore, as a result of the analysis, the positive points of the implementation of Self Healing are highlighted, such as the improvement of the quality indicators of the electric energy supply, the reduction of the operational costs of the distribution concessionaires and the increase of credibility and trust on the part of the consumers in relation to the services provided by the concessionaires.
