Resumo:
In this research aimed to make a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis on solid waste management in the beef industry. To this end, a systematic survey of the bibliographic production regarding the management of solid waste in the beef industry, a bibliometric analysis and a discussion of the main impacts and respective environmental control measures regarding the subject in question were carried out. Methodologically, the study was considered qualitative-quantitative, and the Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar databases and the PRISMA method were used for a systematic review, as well as the VOSviewer software for bibliometric analysis. At the end of the review, 18 national and international scientific articles were selected, whose co-authorship analysis indicated Sharzad (2017) as the main author, and the terms “biogas”, “anaerobic digestion” and “waste management” as the central words of the analyzed studies. As for the main impacts, soil and water contamination, and atmospheric changes resulting from the emission of greenhouse gases, stood out in the verified research. With regard to environmental control measures, an emphasis was placed on the waste treatment stage and on treatment technologies, with anaerobic digestion and composting being the most cited, as well as the use of waste in the production of biogas for energy purposes.
