Situated in the field of social history, the research: collecting memories: the practice of keeping - Elias Moreira's collection, from 1970 to 2020, involves an approach that relates history, memory and object. The research is developed from the collection Mr Elias Moreira Alves, aiming to collect testimonies and stories of his life, in order to think about how he builds and thinks certain memories from the objects kept in his personal collection. In order to carry out this research, it was necessary to know the collection of old objects of Mr. Elias Moreira, and through the reports to understand the importance of these objects in the aid of memory, as well as to analyze the influence of this collection of objects in the construction of the obtained narratives. Still aiming to discuss the different possibilities of interpretations and meanings linked to memory, all this to understand how the practice of collecting can contribute to the process of disseminating information and remembrance of past memories, finally we will work with different concepts and different bibliographic perspectives at the same time. course of the search. Due to the need to value, emphasize and contribute to constructions and reflections around collective memory, the theme: Corner of remembrance, Collecting Memories: Elias Moreira's collection 1970 to 2020, is intertwined with the new history and its new methods of approaches, enabling new horizons and new historiographical reflections.
