Abstract

This work presents an IoT (Internet of things) solution for digitizing analog consumption meters. The solution is based on the use of computer vision and machine learning. The proposed work presents a prototype for acquiring, classifying and sending data, based on the ESP32-CAM module with an OV2640 2MP Camera. The prototype performs the recognition of the value of the consumption unit, updates the value and sends the updated value to the database. The proposed work presents a web application to monitor consumption graphically. Finally, an analysis of the feasibility of the application was carried out.
