Resumo:
The present aims to investigate whether the public sector in the municipality of Santa Cruz-PB has
elements of innovation and entrepreneurship. The methodology started from the inductive method,
the research being characterized as: exploratory, field research and descriptive. You
results show that the elements of innovation present in the public management of the municipality
of Santa Cruz - PB are observed from the following dimensions: Organizational Factors
(leadership style, support and vision of leaders), Individual Factors (professional experience,
ability to create new ideas/solutions to solve problems, job satisfaction)
Innovation Characteristics (Personnel committed and/or satisfied in the workplace,
relative advantage). It is concluded with this research that the organization has some elements
important to implement innovation and entrepreneurship in its management, the
individuals and in relation to leadership were the best placed among the respondents, this
shows that the municipal management has a leader willing to innovate and a team that is able to
accepting changes, this corroborates innovation in the municipal public sector.
