dc.description.resumo	O trabalho busca discorrer acerca da construção das representações iconográficas ao longo da história do cristianismo e a importância dessas representações ao longo da determinação de padrões e verdade. Com esse objetivo, pesquisamos entre os autores da história de Cristo, como Barth. D. Hermann e John Dominic Crossan, com o objetivo de entender a presença de Jesus no recorte pobre da sociedade judaica do século I, tratamos de autores do judaísmo, a exemplo de Simon Schama e Ivan E. Rocha, com ênfase na formação e fechamento desse povo às interferências de outras culturas, e da história das artes como Gombrich para entendermos desde a presença de Jesus na classe pobre de Israel, passando pela construção do povo judeu e seu costume de negar o uso de imagens, até a construção da arte cristã como resultado de misturas e contatos das mais diversas culturas. Por fim, utilizamos do trabalho de autores como Eduardo França Paiva para expor a importância das imagens ao longo da formação humana enquanto dotada de verdades, preconceitos e crenças. Com a intenção de ilustrar o debate apresentamos algumas iconografias que justificam nosso trabalho e concluímos a força destas para a concepção de preconceitos e verdades na contemporaneidade. Considerando a discussão sobre arte, religião e costumes, guiamos o trabalho em uma linha de história cultural e mantemos o debate debruçado nesses estudos.	pt_BR

dc.description.astratto	The work seeks to discuss the construction of iconographic representations throughout the history of Christianity and the importance of these representations throughout the determination of standards and truth. To that end, we searched among the authors of the history of Christ, such as Barth. D. Hermann and John Dominic Crossan, in order to understand the presence of Jesus in the poor cut of Jewish society in the first century, we deal with authors of Judaism, such as Simon Schama and Ivan E. Rocha, with emphasis on formation and closure from this people to the interference of other cultures, and from the history of the arts like Gombrich to understand from the presence of Jesus in the poor class of Israel, through the construction of the Jewish people and their custom of denying the use of images, to the construction of Christian art as a result of mixtures and contacts of the most diverse cultures. Finally, we use the work of authors such as Eduardo França Paiva to expose the importance of images throughout human formation as endowed with truths, prejudices and beliefs. With the intention of illustrating the debate, we present some iconographies that justify our work and conclude their strength for the conception of prejudices and truths in contemporaneity. Considering the discussion about art, religion and customs, we guide the work in a cultural history line and keep the debate focused on these studies.	pt_BR
