Résumé:
In order to understand the dynamics on procedures for the sustainable development
of the Territory coast south of Bahia, this study broadens the focus of analysis on
education in agrarian reform settlements of this area, especially in the settlement D.
Hélder. Thus, the educational processes in Tariff settlements in the territory,
presenting itself as a major bias of sustainability and can be understood as a strong
strategy for sustainable rural development since most of the existing research on
rural sustainability in the territory, has focus on economic, and normally, education
traditionally excluded from the samples studied in this perspective. The results so far
of the search, point to the importance of looking at the area as a "whole", or as a
social fabric, with relations of bases historical, political, educational, cultural beyond
economic analysis . Through research participant with the actors and actresses of
the settlement D. Hélder the Territory South Coast, it was possible to identify the
different contributions that the Education brings to the organization of settlers from
the perspective of the Sustainable Rural Development.
