Aqui será meu amanhã: funcionamento textual-interativo de advérbios dêiticos em entrevistas eleitorais.

Abstract

Word classes’ approach has undergone modifications over the years, so that some of these classes, such as adverbs, still have difficulties for classification (ILARI; BASSO, 2006). Adverbial heterogeneity allows for different ways of understanding its constituents and also requires the observation of adverbs on more than one linguistic level, going beyond morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. In general, studies on this class of words, especially deictic adverbs, are centered on semanticpragmatic analysis, which does not bring up debates about how deictic behave in other dimensions of the language. Based on these ideas, we sought to approach this linguistic phenomenon from a perspective capable of encompassing a look at such uses in the text dynamics and, at the same time, in the interaction between individuals in the complex relationship between interlocutors and textual genres. Thus, this monographic research aimed to understand the textualinteractive functions (NEVES, 2020) of deictic adverbs in interviews with political personalities. In order to understand these functions, deictic adverbs were identified in the interviews, categorizing them according to their semantic values and explaining their operating patterns in interview textualization. The data correspond to interviews with eligible candidates for the Recife mayor's office in the first electoral round of 2020. As already mentioned, adverbs’ occurrences were examined according to the speakers’ intentions within the communicative situation undertaken by the textual genre and with the perception of how deictics are inserted in the construction of utterances. Furthermore, the analysis had as theoretical foundations the contributions of Functionalism (PEZATTI, 2008) to describe language from use, Pragmatics (LEVINSON, 2007) to understand the intentions in deictic uses, Linguistics of Enunciation (FIORIN, 2016), to relate deictic adverbs to enunciative subjectivity, and Text Linguistics (KOCH, 2015), to take the text as a unit of analysis. The results showed that there was a transition from deictic ostension to textual organization, so that deictic, in certain instances, began to play argumentative / opinionated roles. These roles were also justified by the textual genre in question and the interlocutors affected by any interaction process. In this process, however, the insertion of adverbs did not occur in an equivalent way, as differences were observed regarding the most evident textualinteractive function of each use and the semantic nature of the adverbs.
