Resumo:
Agroecology is being increasingly incorporated by social movements as a
constitutive dimension of their proposals and claims. In Brasil, several scientific articles
about agroecological experiences are being produced, showing, primarily, the
agroecology as a way to promove the rescue of the peasantry tradition, reproduce the
local knowledge, to produce healthy foods and to minimize dependence on government
policies. In this study, I have as objective to analyze the discourse of agroecological
movement, seeing the scenario responsible for the construction of categories of this
discourse and its implicit political positions, taking as starting point the hypothesis that
science is also a form of identity construction of social actors from the interaction of
farmers with institutional apparatus promoter of agroecology. For such, I sought to
realize if the beliefs defended by farmers and technicians who work with Community
Seed Banks, conformed on the net Seeds of Passion, in Paraíba state, while one case
among the various manifestations of agroecology, is a discourse crossed by an
ideological stance from the contact with the purveyors of technical and scientific
knowledge, or the widespread textual production is really based on empirical evidence,
supported in the lives of farmers and symbolic aspects appeal to subscribers in certain
tradition. So, I realize a theory informed critical about the scientific study of reality,
offering also a reflection on the social sciences, on the subject of relations between
society, nature and science.
