Resumo:
This research focuses the form of religious devotion practiced in the Centro Espírita e Culto
de Oração “Casa De Jesus – Fonte de luz”, situated in the amazonian town of Rio Branco
(Acre), examining its meaning associated to the flow of experiences by its followers,
including the cult leader. Thus, the approach of the religious phenomenon shows the social
trajectory of the “charismatic leader” in connection to the historic process of Acre state
settlement, culminating with the analysis of the “revelation” of his Mission. The process of
the cult institutionalization is investigated following the relations developed and web aspects
for articulated relationships. The final part consists of religious ceremonies ethnography and
relevant devotion acts.
