Resumen:
The present work refers to the design of a table and adjustable chair for children of the Academic Unit of Early Childhood Education (UEI), located in Campina I, Federal University of Campina Grande, Campina Grande- Pb School furniture is indispensable during human learning and this relationship between man and product is present
in a large part of his life, being important in student learning, classroom and o rganic development. The discomfort caused by poor posture on tables and chairs can make it impossible to concentrate, as well as causing health damage. The institution chosen as the reference for the analyzes covers the age group in which the project is
destined. The projective method was established by the advisor Natã Morais, which consisted in defining product functions from the project objectives, data collection and contextualization of the problem,, extraction of semantic panel forms to help in Generation of ideas, refinement and geometrization of concepts, defining the structural
elements, material and manufacturing process (requirements and parameters), choosing the best concept that would meet the objectives with the help of the UEI educators. In this way, the furniture (work surface and seat) developed in this project proposes to relate to the environment in which it will be inserted (kindergartens and preschool / kindergarten), in the interaction of primary users (students) and secondary users (Educators), establishing an ergonomic characteristic in relation to the use and its configuration, allowing the user to adjust the product to its height, contributing to the intellectual and physical development of the child, so that it is healthy and productive.
