The creation of quail has stood out over the years, with more and more followers. Objective of this
study was to evaluate the environmental influence on thermal comfort and the quality of quail eggs
strains Coturnix coturnix japonica (Japanese quail) and Coturnix coturnix coturnix (quail
European). The experiment was conducted in laying quails sheds belonging to Paradise Farm,
located in the city of João Pessoa - PB, in a continuous period, which examined two strains of
laying quail, Japanese quail and quail being European in all phases (creates , rearing and laying).
In evaluating indexes worked weekly weight gain and physical and chemical characterization of
the eggs. Statistical analyzes were performed using the computer program Assistat, beta version
7.6, was used in a completely randomized regression analysis of data from the thermal comfort
indices in each phase of the birds in order to determine the most appropriate curve behavior to
variable analyzed, the analysis of the weight gain of quail used a 2x3 factorial design, the data of
physical characteristics of eggs was randomized blocks with two treatments. It can be concluded
that the ambient temperature, relative humidity, globe temperature index black and radiant heat
load, had, at times hot, average values considered above allowed for quail in phases creates and
recreates. The weight gain in the three analyzed stage (breeding, rearing and production) for both
strains achieved higher gain for European lineage. Japanese strain in eggs, we found that the higher
pH values in the white and yolk.
