Resumo:
Physiology and production response of jatropha to residual phosphate fertilization and wastewater. The cultivation of jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) needs to be improved to make it suitable
for the production of raw materials in order to produce biodiesel. Conducted herself thus
an experiment to study the residual effect of phosphorus fertilization levels associated with
the effects of irrigation levels with wastewater physiology, production and mineral
composition of jatropha pie in the second year of the production cycle. The work was
carried out in protected cultivation in the University Federal of Campina Grande, having
started after the first production cycle, the plants pruning it has been preserved in the three
most vigorous branches to a height of 80 cm. The experiment was conducted in a
randomized block in the factorial analysis scheme [5 x 4] + 1, whose factors were five of
residual phosphorus levels (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 mg kg-1 soil) four wastewater blades
corresponding to the replacement of evapotranspiration of the plant (50, 75, 100 and 125%
of ETc) and a control with a depth of 100% ETc irrigated with water supply and fertilized
with N and K, with three replications. Irrigation was obeying a irrigation every three days;
the volume of water applied to each treatment was determined by water balance.
Evaluations of physiology and production during the second production cycle and, after
determining the oil content was characterized chemically pie jatropha in the treatments.
Phosphorus levels exerted no significant influence during the evaluation period for
chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoid full. Regarding production,
the residual phosphorus fertilization influenced the number of seeds, number of fruits, dry
fruit weight and weight of 100 seeds, since the irrigation levels influenced the number of
clusters, number of seeds, dry fruit weight, number of fruit, fruit width, width of seed,
length and weight of 100 seeds. Among the minerals evaluated in jatropha pie composition
potassium, calcium and phosphorus were those with the highest levels.
