Resumen:
The experiment was conducted in the laboratory of Seed processing, the flow properties, particle size and moisture content determined in the laboratory of Rural Constructions and Ambience - LaCRA, both from the Federal University of Campina Grande, in the municipality of Campina Grande - PB, in the period from June to November 2016. We used a scale model of vertical semicircular section of silo dimensions of 1, 1 m high and 0, 45 m in diameter, depicting a silo with H/D ratio equal to 2.4, and a hopper with 0, 5 m of height and inclination of 69° with horizontal, with 0, 07 m of outlet. We used four types of inserts: two single and two double cones. The inserts were installed in three different heights in relation to the outlet: 35, 45 and 55 cm. Poultry rations presented difficulty in your discharging, because this product presents funnel flow, with several crashes during your discharge, it was concluded that the use of different models of inserts, promote flow change of the stored product to a mass standard.
