Resumo:
Most of the Brazilian petroleum reserve consists is heavy oil deep water, generating technical difficulties in exploiting these resources. Therefore, it is evident the need to have more certainty about the flow behavior of these fluids. Thus, this study aims to numerically simulate the flow theree-phase (ultraviscoso heavy oil, water and air), imcompressible, non-isothemal, transient and upward in vertical risers using the technique of core-annular flow. For the numerical solution of the governing equations used the software CFX 11.0®. In mathematical modeling considered to water, turbulent flow to the oil, to the oil and gás, laminar flow regime, and were used as template for transfer between the water and oil phases, misture model, and between the water-gas and oil-gas phases, the particles model. Results of velocity, pressure and volume fraction of phases, and reducing the pressure drop three-phase flow are presented and analyzed. We evaluated the effects of volume fraction, temperature and velocity of the phases in the flow termohidrodinâmica.
