Resumo:
The growing demand for sustainable solutions uses the rational use of natural resources for
estimated agricultural production or the use of new spaces and tools to mitigate the environmental
impact of production on the environment. Why does food production on vertical urban farms
present an alternative to reduce environmental impacts, such as reducing pollutant gases in the
atmosphere due to food transport from producer to consumer, as well as lowering the internal
temperature of buildings as urban farms? verticals are installed. Therefore, this work consists in
the development of a food production unit that covers the LaCRA - UFCG laboratory cover,
aiming to verify the influence of the production unit on the slab and on the thermal comfort inside
the building. The implementation of the production unit was carried out through the installation
of dungarees made of pine wood and pallet structure. Thirty-two temperature sensors (DS18B20)
were installed at different levels - below and above the area and within the substrate in the
overalls. Other temperature, humidity and air velocity data are collected through the HOBO
weather station, which is located near the dungarees. The experiment was carried out between
April 08 and 29, 2018 and September 26 to October 15, 2018. When analyzing the data received,
observe the reduction of 8º of the temperature of the environments inside the exposed place below
the production unit. of food in relation to the environment without production unit on the area,
resulting in the lower efficiency of this activity as an alternative for energy saving for cooling of
studied spaces.
