Abstract:
The purpose of this Thesis is study the geometry of complete submanifolds immersed in
certain semi-Riemannian spaces. In the initial chapters, we establish uniqueness and
rigidity results concerning complete hypersurfaces isometrically immersed in a semi-
Riemannian warped product space through some appropriate restrictions on the higher
order mean curvatures. In the last part of this work, using a Simons type formula, we
investigate complete submanifolds immersed with parallel normalized mean curvature
vector field in Riemannian space forms. In this context, we obtain some results of
characterizations for these submanifolds.
