“Mulher à moda da casa”: o “modelo” de conduta feminina no Brasil do ano de 1930 através da Revista Fon Fon.

Abstract

The dissertation presented aimed to make a discursive study of the feminine behavior model released by Fon Fon magazine in 1930. Being the journal situated among one of the main vehicles of communication in the period under study, because update your readers about the new social aspects that were present thanks to the modernization of some central areas of Brazil, especially the city of Rio de Janeiro, we see this as a relevant discourse issuer on this new historical moment in which they showed a series of changes in mentality and behavior of individuals at the time. Amid these changes are noted some changes in the role played by women in Brazilian society, when they become constant figure in the public space before considered a male occupation stronghold. Thus, the Fon Fon being one of those responsible for highlighting, through its pages, the changes signaled by the modern that social environment, we analyze in this paper the ways in which this magazine was used for its apparatus and discursive influence to talk about new female profiles emerging, thus contributing to the construction of a discussion of gender relations in Brazil in the early twentieth century.
