Resumo:
At a time when the biography of the writer is valued by literary studies, as possible means of interpretation of his work, will this work, inserted in the
Barthes's theory of biography (1975), in order to find possible approximations to the
instance and the instance of the real of literary creation in the work of Portuguese
writer Florbela Espanca. It has been aimed at understanding how a real event
interfered in some way, in artistic composition and establish a relationship between
the worlds of reality and fiction. Regarding this aspect, the work of Bessa-Luís (2001
[1976]), of Noronha (2001) and Dal Farra (2002) have studied the life and work of the
Portuguese writer and drew a parallel between those two facets, which serves as a
theoretical framework for this study. For the study, sites were established in the work
of thematic enrolled Florbela, namely, pain and redemption, and Life and Death.
Thus, the corpus of study was selected in accordance with the binomials theme
chosen for analysis, interpretation, among your bill of poems, letters, stories, and his
diary, eager to see how the personal experiences of the writer, to some extent, were
instrumental in the fabric of his lyre.
