Resumo:
The theme of teacher education has assumed , in a way, of considerable importance to the
country as it has been the target of studies , discussions and criticism in some spheres of
society , especially the numerous problems encountered in undergraduate courses in the
country . In this perspective , this work called " The initial teacher education : reflections on
the pedagogical project of Letter Course - Portuguese UFCG ' main goal was to reflect on
what is expected from the initial training course on literature in contemporary times ,
especially through the analysis of the main problems faced by the degree in the country .
Specific objectives include : a) undertake a critical, questioning of the initial training course
on literature - Portuguese UFCG ; b ) reflect on the axes of initial teacher education contained
in the said course of study Political Project (CPP ) ; c ) describe / analyze the context of the
organizational structure of the course subjects by axes ; d ) from the previous specific aim to
contribute to a critical reflection on the foundations of contemporary grill Bachelor's -
Portuguese UFCG . In this context , the documentary point of view, it is appropriate to invest
in research to reflect on the curriculum of undergraduate courses , as well as other areas .
With regard to the theoretical basis used one can cite as Rampazzo authors (2002) Medeiros
(2008) , Paiva (2005) , Tardif (2002) , Pereira (2007 ), and the PPC itself and official
documents that organize Letters Courses in the country . Regarding methodology , this study
is a survey of nature documentary . Regarding data analysis , we observed that although PPC
Course of Arts - English Language UFCG agree with what is stated in official documents ,
some modifications to the title brought suggestions throughout this work, need a certain order
to be considered for a better development of the course in relation to three areas of training ,
namely: the user , the teacher and the specialist.
