Abstract:
To define the ideal moment to accomplish the crop of the castor is complicated due to maturation of the bunches they happen in way so much unequal among the bunches of a plant, enters fruits of a same bunch and with base in this fact, it was aimed at to evaluate and to quantify the influence of the maturation of the fruits of the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis L.) about the quality of the seeds of two you cultivate of castor oil plant (BRS Nordestina and BRS Paraguaçu) and your effects in the productivity and in the economical return. Castor bunches were picked at different maturation stadiums and in laboratory they were studied aspects related to the physical quality, chemistry and physiologic of the seeds. In a second moment it was evaluated vegetation home the initial growth of the castor oil spread by seeds in different maturation stadiums. In field
conditions they were identified the flotation patterns and fructification of the castor oil and the moment adapted for crop of the castor oil in function of the optimization of the liquid revenue. It was verified that still picked in bunches green, middle-ripe and ripe there are five classes of seeds represented by the coloration of the tegument (black, tan, red, yellowish and opaque) and it was ended that in you cultivate them in study the color of the tegument of the seeds it is a characteristic related to your maturation degree, and seeds of black color can offer better physical characteristics, chemistries and physiologic that the seeds with clearer tegument. In the study accomplished vegetation home it was verified that the seeds that present tegument of black coloration originated plants with characteristics agronomic superiors those produced by seeds of clearer coloration. In field conditions it was verified that the castor oil cv BRS Paraguaçu was 11 days more precocious in the release of your primary inflorescence that BRS Nordestina. The accumulation of fitomassa of the fruits and seeds increased lineally up to 60 days after the emission of the inflorescence. The degree of humidity of the fruits and of the seeds it decreased with the maturation, and the humidity of the fruit is usually larger than the one of the seed. So that the ricinocultura becomes viable, it is done necessary the invigoration of the agricultural base through the insert of seeds of good quality, you cultivate more productive and with smaller dehiscence degree so that the crop can be only, minimizing the costs with that operation and removing of the field the maxim productivity.
