Ter de e Ter que no português do Brasil: um estudo descritivo do fenômeno de gramaticalização.

Abstract

The change is an ordinary characteristic of the natural languages and has moved studies from diverse theoretical perspectives. Among these perspectives, we find the which investigate the linguistics object how much it change from a lexical function to grammatical function, or from a grammatical to more grammatical, considering the use that the speakers making of this lexical object. This change event is called grammaticalization, that is the focus of our research. Considering these phenomena, this research work there is with the objective to analysis the expression ter de and ter que in brazilian portuguese. Thereunto, it was consulted videos of news and interviews publicated in the news sites G1, between july 2013 and may 2017, in which we observed statements of the 47 (forty seven) people of differents genre, living in all Brazil regions. The data transcriptions ware made from conversations proposed by the Conversation Analysis. The research work has as base on studies by Functionalist Linguistics proposed or taken up by Hopper (1991), Gonçalves et al. (2007), Dias (2011), Cezario (2012) and Souza (2012), beyond other theories and their contributions. The results indicate a high degree of grammaticalization of the analyzed periphrasis, with the item que in this construction with an obligatory index, occurring in the statements of more than 95% of the informants; this frequency assures to this item functionality in the class of prepositions. We also verified the use of both forms of this periphrasis is indifferent between men and women and occurs independently of having an academic background.
