Resumo:
Gilka Machado appeared in Brazilian literature in the early twentieth century and was a
woman who modified the literary scene, since she was the first to write about eroticism
and to shock an entire conservative society of that time. His work was and is important
for the scenario and history of Brazilian literature. In this context, this research aimed to
analyze the erotic poems of Gilka Machado present in the book Poesias Completas.
Specifically, he sought to present prevailing themes and procedures in the book Poesia
completa (2017); reflect about the effects of sensations of the subject, in relation to the
senses and the image of the body represented in his poetry. This research is based on
Borges Filho (2009) to discuss the reading proposal and the sensorial gradients. It is
also basead Castello Branco (2004), Duriagan (1985) and Paz (1994) to deal with
eroticism. In Nunes (2007), Britto (2009) and Oliveira (2002) make up part of the
critical fortune of Gilka, and finally in Del Priore (1994) who about women in society.
In this sense, in order to reach the proposed objectives, a study was carried out on the
works of the poet's poetry and after that, it trying to highlight the different ways in
which eroticism reveals itself. The results of the research show that in gilkian lyricism
eroticism is characterized by the impulse of female desires. Given this, it was evident
that there is eroticism in most of Gilka Machado's poems and that this eroticism is
experiecend by the human senses.
