Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The production of pepper biquinho in the hydroponic system demands
knowledge of the culture in the system, defining the most appropriate management,
concentration of the nutrient solution, nutritional requirements of the plant in the
cultivation environment. The present work was carried out with the objective of
evaluating the growth, biomass partition and plant production of two cultivars of
biquinho pepper - cv. Hot Pepper Bico and BRS Moema, when exposed to levels of
concentration of the nutrient solution and doses of N and P. Two successive cycles were
performed; in the first, the plants of cv. Hot Pepper Bico were exposed to three
concentration levels of nutrient solutions - 100, 116 and 133%, and four doses of P
(1.89; recommended dose - 2.36; 2.86 and 3.30 g 60L-1) ; in the second cycle, the plants
of cv. BRS Moema were exposed to three concentration levels of nutrient solutions -
100, 50 and 33.0%, and four doses of N (6.78; recommended dose- 8.98 11.18 and
13.38 g 60L-1) . In both experiments, a randomized block design was adopted, in a 3x4
factorial scheme, with three blocks/repetitions, totaling 36 experimental units. The
experimental activities were carried out in a protected environment, between August to
November/2020 and January to April/2020 in the conditions of Campina Grande-PB.
Among the main conclusions of the first cycle, the highest dose of 3.30 g of phosphorus
was mentioned and the concentration of 116% of the nutrient solution caused the
highest fruit production of 186.03 g per plant, and the highest the highest efficiency. Of
the use of water in the production of biquinho pepper at 100 days after sowing. Among
the main conclusions of the second cycle, we can mention the management with a
solution of 100% of the nutrients being offered in the growth phase with a dose of
13.38g 60L-1, in which it obtained a productivity of 11.88 kg m-2 of fresh fruit mass and
the highest water use efficiency of 129.62kg m-3 with a dose of 6.78g 60L-1.
