Abstract:
The work in question discusses the impacts that people are subjected to through the stress that
the organizational environment causes. Nowadays, occupational stress is one of the most
common problems found in an organization, which can trigger some consequences, both in
professional performance and in personal life, which can trigger serious health problems. Thus,
the study aims to analyze occupational stress in the administrative sector of a factory in the city
of Campina Grande - PB. For this, a case study was carried out, with a quantitative approach,
with a descriptive and exploratory character. The application of the questionnaire involved 20
employees from the administrative sector. The results of the case study showed that the phase
that stood out the most was Resistance, the main symptoms were physical, such as the feeling
of physical exhaustion and change in appetite, and the stressors were mainly: lack of
communication and information and few opportunities for training and development. In view
of the results, it is proposed that the company's managers and directors seek methods that can
reduce this stress, making employees feel more satisfied, less stressed, and consequently, more
productive, without health problems and with a better quality of life higher.
