Resumo:
Law 11,340/2006 was an important instrument of support and protection for women
victims of domestic violence in Brazil, in view of creating mechanisms to curb such
violence, strengthening the fight against patriarchy, against exacerbated machismo,
in addition to the fundamental rights inherent to the person. human. However, even
with the advent of the aforementioned law, violence against women continued to
grow in our country, even with some changes in said legislation, such as Law No.
rehabilitation, and to have psychosocial support. Based on this premise, the following
question arose: was there an increase in violence against women in the region of
Sousa-PB during the pandemic period? The general objective of the research was
based on the determination of the rates of violence against women in the city of
Sousa-PB, during the pandemic period, as well as on the promotion of a project for
the rehabilitation of the aggressor, avoiding his recurrence. As for the specific
objectives, the presentation of the historical and sociological aspects of violence
against women was taken care of, conceptualizing men and their social construction;
the discussion of the Maria da Penha Law, and its three-dimensional character; in
addition to the analysis of public policies for the purpose of rehabilitation of the
aggressor. In order to organize the work, the deductive and quantitative approach
method was used, starting from a general analysis of the norm considered according
to the context, applying it in the concrete case. The method of procedure used the
historical, the bibliographic and the legal exegetical. The research technique, on the
other hand, was concentrated on direct and indirect documentation. Finally, the
research results satisfactorily clarified the result of the problem, demonstrating the
growing number of cases of violence against women in the region of Sousa-PB
during the pandemic, as well as the lack of an education, rehabilitation project in the
municipality. and psychosocial monitoring of the aggressor, in order to restrain him in
further attacks. It is therefore necessary that the State, through multidisciplinary
teams, promote projects to create an education, rehabilitation and psychosocial
monitoring center for the aggressor, so that he does not relapse, thus reducing the
rate of violence against women. in the constituency.
