Resumo:
The present research work proposes a sensor based in a structure with a hairpin resonator,
for use in the detection of glucose concentration in solutions, to be applied in studies
of glycemic index monitoring in diabetic patients. The sensor presents a high sensitivity
for the transmission parameter in response for solutions concentration variation, with
operation range from 850 MHz to 1,7 GHz, having a low cost, compact dimensions and
high replicability. The work provides a contribution to the study of techniques in the
determination of the glycemic index using resonators that operate in the microwave
frequency range, and can be used in the research and development of devices for Diabetes
treatment.
