Resumo:
The present work of conclusion of course approaches the difficulties that transvestites and
transsexuals find in the prison system regarding the death of the female body, however,
more precisely the guarantees to the access to hormone therapy, being the access to health
a right and duty of the State. as expressed in the Federal Constitution of 1988, listed in its
articles 196 and 197. In this sense, for the construction of this work, a research was carried
out to understand the struggle for knowledge of the rights of Trans and Transvestite Women,
as well as how the Brazilian prison system works. The points addressed are the definitions
of the prison structure, health of transsexual and transvestite women, and their rights within
the prison, among others. In addition to a theoretical argument between sociologists,
anthropologists and legal practitioners, with the aim of seeking reflections through literary
productions, news and day-to-day examples, since all these forms of reference are
fundamental for the research and analysis of the object of study. In the end, it appears that.
