Résumé:
Hyperpigmentation is a dermatological condition that results in melasma, a non-lethal
condition. However, as it mainly affects the face region, it can significantly affect people's
quality life. Melasma is more common in reproductive age women and can be triggered
by factors such as pregnancy, oral contraceptives and sun exposure. In the care of patients
with melasma, the pharmacist acts, in general, by prescribing cosmetic therapies and other
procedures. Thus, it is possible for the patient to have access to a safe and effective
treatment, culminating in the recovery of facial skin health. Given this, the study aimed
to develop individualized cosmetic prescriptions for the hyperpigmented skin care. A
narrative review of the literature was carried out, followed by 3 stages: screening of skin
care products, labels analysis and, finally, production of 10 prescriptions, in which post-
pregnancy melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)/rejuvenation and solar
hyperpigmentation. The products chosen were those available on the market, easily
accessible, which contained depigmenting agents such as kojic acid, tranexamic acid,
vitamin C, glycolic acid, retinol, among others. All excipients contained in the
formulations were also evaluated. These cosmetic prescriptions can serve as support for
other aesthetic professionals who seek individualized patient care, thus providing a
strengthening and the skin care optimization offer for individuals with
hyperpigmentation.
