Resumo:
With the increase of competitiveness in the globalized market, the business environment needed to implement efficient production methods, in order to have a production with reduced cost, more quality and less waste, and thus satisfy the expectations of the customers and guarantee their space in the market. In this sense, Lean Manufacturing acts as an adequate method, since, through the analysis, identification and reduction of losses, having effective tools, it provides optimization in the productive processes, generating advantageous manufacturing flows. Through the analysis of the production process, the present study contributed to the minimization or elimination of waste in the production system of automatic rolling doors in a company in the city of Patos-PB, using lean manufacturing to identify the main losses and their respective causes. , and suggesting proposals for improvements. As a result, it was observed that in the organization there were mainly losses related to waiting, transportation, movement and underutilization of people capacity. With the analysis and prioritization of losses, improvements were suggested, such as: layout optimization; spreadsheet in Excel and cards based on the Kanban system for stock control, Standardization (POP), Job Manual per job and acquisition of trolleys for transporting parts and tools. Such improvements will result in a process with less losses and, consequently, more optimized.
