Resumo:
The year 2020 entered world history due to one: the corona virus pandemic. There have
been many deaths and contaminations around the world due to infections caused by the
coronavirus. Faced with this situation, it was necessary (in whole and/or in part) to
interrupt several activities that are referred to as “non-essential” in order to prevent the
situation from getting worse. The pandemic has paralyzed school activities, so that
discussions on distance education (EaD) and emergency distance learning (ERE) have
gained prominence both in the public debate and in the educational arena. In view of
this, the present work aims to present, through a bibliographical review, the main
challenges faced in education in the return to face-to-face activities. On that occasion, a
bibliographic research was carried out, based on documents, articles, books, magazines,
newspapers, electronic networks, that is, materials accessible to the public. Thus
pointing out that despite the diversification of chemistry teaching techniques, distance
courses have become more profitable and meaningful for students. However, the
integration of technological resources as a way of teaching and learning still faces many
challenges. The challenge for educators is to integrate digital resources to benefit the
teaching and learning process. It is hoped that, through the exhibition of this work, all
the difficulties of this practice, during and after the quarantine, will receive more
attention from social and public authorities. Dropping out of school, lack of basic school
subjects, lack of internet and computers, psychological fragility, shaken family
structures: all these problems decisively affect the daily lives of several families in
Brazil today, who are even more at risk from the outbreak of social isolation.
