Resumo:
The study of public health is extremely important, in times when pandemics occur in a matter of days, with the current configuration of the globalization process, it becomes increasingly necessary to study disease propagation processes. Geography becomes, in this scenario, increasingly relevant and present, in joint study analyzes of public health, well-being, prevention and health promotion. The theme of this research refers to the Health Geography Symposiums in Brasília, in 2015 and in Dourados 2017. Thus, this work proposes as a general objective to analyze the methods of procedures used in the Health Geography Symposiums that took place in the respective years. To carry out the research, the following methodological procedures were carried out, firstly, a survey of
references in the area of the problem and methodology, then a documental survey, and ending as a result, the preference within all Research Centers, for the quantitative method, and of all regions analyzed, with the Southeast region having the highest number of researchers. As a final conclusion and still open to possible reanalyses, it was possible, after all the procedures performed, to identify that Health Geography has significant potential for further growth within Geography.
