Resumen:
This work aims to understand how art is being worked in the municipality of Aurora-CE,
from the practices of Early Childhood Education teachers. For this, an exploratory research of
the case study type was carried out with a qualitative approach, in a nursery, located in the
rural area of the municipality. Through semi structured interviews carried out with four
teachers from the institution, and the analysis of the lesson plans and the political pedagogical
project (PPP), the development of educational practices in art, the conceptions of art imbued
in this process and possible challenges in lesson planning. For the foundation of the study,
authors such as FERREIRA (2012); OSTETTO (2011); FUSARI and FERRAZ (2009),
official documents: BNCC (2018), RCNEI (1998), among others. The study was divided into
three chapters. In the first chapter, a discussion is carried out on the importance of art for the
educational and child context. After that, a counterpoint is made on how art should be worked
on in Early Childhood Education and how it presents itself in school reality. Therefore, the
conceptions of art present in the molds of pedagogical practices are reflected. As a result of
the research, it was found that the work with art in early childhood in the rural area of the
municipality of Aurora-CE happens through decontextualized and pragmatic practices, in
which the conception of art is linked as a pedagogical resource and complementary
component. In this context, the teaching of art developed ends up making meaningful learning
and full development of children unfeasible.
