Résumé:
This work aims to analyze the process of recognition of the material heritage of the
Village of Pedra Tapada, rural area of the municipality of Passira-PE, from the time
frame of 1982 - 1996, having as objects of study the Restoration Project of the Church
of São José of the Village of Pedra Tapada by the Municipal Development Foundation
of the Interior of Pernambuco - FIAM (1982) and later through the incentive of the
Municipality of Passira (1984) forwarded to the Foundation of Historical and Artistic
Heritage of Pernambuco - FUNDARPE (1988) and the Project of Urbanization of the
Village of Pedra Tapada and Restoration of the Church of São José by the Community
Association of Araras (1996). It was necessary to qualify the research in six main
points, such as: (a) theoretical foundation; (b) contextualization of the Municipality of
Passira and the Village of Pedra Tapada; (c) characterization of the landscape of the
Village of Pedra Tapada; (d) collection of documentary and photographic collections in
public and private archives; (e) documentary analysis and on-site analysis; and (f) data
systematization. It is intended to investigate and understand the arguments and criteria
in the category of technical valuation of the patrimonialization process related to the
Village of Pedra Tapada, as well as the Church and Cemetery of São José,
understanding the techniques and guidelines that were used in the documents
developed by the Municipal Development Foundation of the Interior of Pernambuco -
FIAM, Foundation of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Pernambuco - FUNDARPE,
Municipality of Passira and the Community Association of Araras, emphasizing the
need for greater interest and incentives of them for other material and intangible goods
that tell the history of a given population.
