Resumo:
Over the years, Paleontology has gained the attention of researchers and professors,
who develop research, projects, actions with multiple thematic and methodological
approaches for different audiences and situations, building a broad scenario
regarding the ways of conceiving this science. This research aims to carry out an
Integrative Review of Course Completion Works in the area of Paleontology,
produced by students of the degree course in Biological Sciences. This work carried
out a qualitative and quantitative approach of an exploratory and descriptive nature
with 16 monographs available in the access of the CES/UFCG library between the
year 2011 and 2022. The analysis of the monographs was carried out from
comparative tables, with emphasis on the type of research , study area, methodology
and target audience. The results showed that there is a great alternation in the
interest in researching on the Paleontology theme, considering the concentration of
intervention and exploratory research proposals. The largest number of works were
carried out in the teaching area and developed with primary school students, through
different didactic alternatives. In addition, it was proven that the vast majority of
research adopted the simultaneous combination of two methods: quali-quantitative.
