Resumo:
The present work discusses the literacy and literacy process in the early years,
presenting didactic-methodological procedures to be used by educators to develop the literacyliteracy process in order to reduce the most recurrent difficulties. When considering the statistical data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), people aged 15 or over are not able to read and write even a simple note. Thus, the problem of this study is: how to contribute to a better development of the process of literacy and literacy of students in the early years of elementary school? From this question, the general objective of the research is: to investigate literacy and literacy in the early years of elementary school. The research is bibliographic in nature, with a qualitative approach. Authors such as: Vargas and Lopes (2006), Cagliari (2010) and Soares (1998), Brazil (2018), Kleiman (2003), Moura and Martins (2012), Nascimento and Santos (2018), ScliarCabral (2014) , among others, were used as a basis for the construction of the theoretical framework. It is hoped that this study will contribute to teacher education and, through the procedures proposed here, help in the formation of literate and literate subjects.
