Resumo:
The object of this work is to study affectivity in the classroom. The general objective of this study is to analyze how affectivity in the relationship between teacher and student can influence or not the teaching and learning processes. The specific objectives are: to discuss the interlocution between affectivity and learning; investigate teachers' conceptions about affectivity in the teacher-student relationship and its impacts on the teaching process; to identify the students' conceptions about affectivity in the teacher-student relationship and its implications in the learning process. This is an exploratory field research with a qualitative approach. The methodological procedures adopted for data production were: firstly, a bibliographical survey was carried out with theoretical support in Wallon (2011), Vygotsky (1995), Freire (2016), Cosenza and Guerra (2011), Goleman (2011); in a second moment, a semistructured interview was carried out, directed to teachers and students of the Pedagogy Course, of the Teacher Training Center, of the Federal University of Campina Grande, Cajazeiras Campus, and then the transcription of the data. The interviews took place from November 8 to 11, 2022. As for the results, carrying out this research enabled a greater understanding that affectivity is not only about affection, but is also reflected in terms of emotions and feelings. , and constitutes an important factor in the relationships established between teacher and student, being able to contribute or enhance the processes of teaching and learning. Furthermore, the research also revealed that undeniably we still have limited and possibly erroneous knowledge about the importance of affectivity for teaching and learning, in which the relationship between teacher and student, when it is bad, can make the educational process difficult. and, when this relationship is positive, harmonious, it can work as a driving factor so that both processes can happen in a meaningful way and promote the development of the student.
