Abstract:
It is known that the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, is already
a reality in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, to the
detriment of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) system. This is due to the countless
benefits provided by this methodology to professionals in the area. Bearing this
thought in mind, the present work proposes to develop a work budget built based on
the quantitative extracted from BIM models (Architecture, Structure, Electrical and
Hydrosanitary), developed during the work. At the end, the positive and negative
points of the entire process are addressed, and improvements are pointed out in the
entire design flow, and budgeting, aiming at future work and projects.
