Social media platforms have gained exceptional popularity especially in the last ten years and have become an important part of human life. Among the popular social media platforms, Instagram®, an increasingly popular application adapted for sharing photos and videos is used by millions of people every day, by people of all ages being also used for educational purposes that has had more and more possibilities of use in the dissemination of soil knowledge. Thus, this study aimed to identify the pages related to Soil Education in the social network Instagram® and evaluate the engagement of the publications of the content posted on the page @solonaescolaufcg, used as a complementary tool for Soil Education. The method used was qualitative descriptive, in a case study and the analysis period comprised the years 2021, 2022 to January 2023. The results indicated the existence of 51 pages of Soil Education projects and 08 pages of museums popularizing soil knowledge. The analysis of the @solonaescolaucg page showed a total of 2309 followers, with 1614 publications, used in the popularization of soil knowledge through playful posts, which has been increasing the interest of visitors in soil. It is concluded that the use of Instagram® has high attractiveness as a tool for the exchange of information about soils and that it can be used as a pedagogical tool to raise the awareness of students and as a complement to the activities of teachers in the approach of soil content.
