The cowpea bean is a species of great economic, socio-cultural and environmental importance, being employed for multiple uses. Thus, it was aimed to adjust regression models for estimating the leaf area of the leaflets by non-destructive method from linear measurements of length, width and product. The research was carried out at the Center for Sustainable Development of the Semiarid of UFCG. A total of 335 samples were collected, in which measurements were taken to determine the length "C" and width "L", and subsequently quantified using ImageJ software. It was concluded that, the allometric models can be used with high accuracy to estimate the leaf area of the feijão-caupi [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.] variety paulistinha with the non-destructive method, from the linear measurements of length, width and the leaflet product. The leaf area of cowpea leaflets can be estimated by the model AFE = 1.85 + 0.69×CL, where AFE is the estimated leaf area and CL is the product between length and width.
