Resumen:
Water, fundamental to living beings, needs the widest attention, not before its exclusion. A committed management that at the same time guarantees social justice and environmental sustainability, around water resources, is necessary mainly in the Northeastern semi-arid region where this resource is scarce. located in the city of Santa Inês-PB as well as, propose measures to reduce the identified impacts, analyzing the current environmental situation of the marginal areas of the reservoir. The choice of this theme was based on the need to emphasize the importance of this reservoir and its multiple uses and also to present the impacts identified on the banks of the reservoir by human activities. Consequently, the quality and conservation of both water and the reservoir margins is compromised, as these activities represent potential polluters of this source. The methodological procedures that contributed to the construction of this work took place in a systematic way based on descriptive analysis and observation of the study site, bibliographic survey, registration and image capture. In the end, there was a lack of planning, management and inspection, through the government with the action and intervention of government agencies so that there is greater control in the conservation of the banks and the weir water. Another issue to be addressed is the lack of awareness of the population that resides there and enjoys the waters of that reservoir without worrying about the impacts caused. The water from the reservoir has become essential to achieve the socioeconomic development of the people who enjoy it, having relevant importance for the city of Santa Inês, which is currently undergoing a process of restoration of the city's water supply system, which will now be supplied by the said weir.
