Abstract:
This paper reflects on the presence of African Portuguese Language Literature in Elementary School and elaborates a proposal of intervention directed to teachers who work at this level of education from a training course. The objectives were to discuss aspects related to the official documents that underlie Law 10 639/03, to problematize the insertion of these literatures in the classrooms of the fundamental level, especially of the ninth year and to suggest strategies so that the contact between the student and the text literary work is done in a profitable way in what concerns the formation of the literary reader. We base our study in Law 10.639 / 03, LDB (1996), in the official MEC documents, texts by Gomes (2007, 2011), Santos (2002), Martins (2006), Dalvi (2013), Cosson (2014) among others. The intervention proposal consisted in the construction of a training course aimed at the teaching public aiming at facilitating access and / or broadening their contact with the literature of Portuguese-speaking African countries, and the presentation of didactic strategies to work within the school environment, aiming to contribute for a more effective presence of African culture in Brazilian education systems.
