Resumo:
With the advancement of technology and the massive use of the internet, in addition to the need to
protect user privacy, it was necessary to create the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data,
since before the LGPD data sharing was "free", since that companies could exchange user information,
such as purchasing patterns, without the owner knowing. Now with the LGPD, the processing of
personal data is defined in a structured way, with the standardization of regulations and practices.
Many companies are still trying to adapt to this new reality, especially small and medium-sized ones,
which generally do not have a specialized sector on the subject. This work aims to analyze the main
points of the law, in addition to showing the main challenges faced by companies to adapt to the
LGPD.
