Resumen:
Turnover is defined as the intention of a professional to leave a given company, starting with the
employee or the organization itself. The area of information technology is the one that suffers the most
from the high rate of turnover, and understanding the causes and consequences of this is essential.
Therefore, the objective of this work is to investigate, through reviews of professionals and former
professionals. These main factors reduce job satisfaction and lead to a possible job change, in addition to
a better understanding of each of these factors. Thus, a quantitative study was carried out through the
evaluations of professionals from more than 20 companies in the software development field. Therefore,
it was possible to observe that the Promotion category is the most prominent, followed by Payment,
Rewards, and Supervision. These are the ones that most influence negative evaluations, in other words,
they considerably influence the turnover intention of software companies.
