Resumo:
Nowadays, gender diversity is a recurrent subject, and, in the context of software development
teams, this topic has been gaining more and more space, receiving more attention from professionals
and researchers. Therefore, this work aims to deepen the discussions on the relationship of gender
diversity in estimating effort and its results in the productivity of tasks performed by software teams.
In the case of a case study, based on time estimation data and time spent performing tasks in a
software team. In this context, data collection was carried out and, subsequently, data was cleaned,
thus excluding some lines from the data set, considering that some tasks did not have all the data
referring to the existing attributes or did not make sense according to the objective of the work.
Additionally, new attributes were created to enable richer analyses. As a result, it was possible to
observe that gender diversity does influence task planning in software teams, specifically in relation
to productivity and time estimation of tasks performed by the team.
