Resumo:
The bad use of the soil has been occasioning several problems in the environment and social fields of the planet, especially, for communities that depend on the soil to survive. Improper soil handling generates loss of fertility and consequently of the productivity causing economics damages for population and agricultural producers. This reason boosted the development of this work whose has how mean objective to analyze land use capacity in the agricultural location of “Massapê” in the County of “Marizópolis-PB”, with a view to planning agricultural practices aimed mainly at small producers. For the evaluation of the soil use capacity, three areas with different agricultural activities were chosen, being the crop area (L), unproductive land (E) and pasture (P) for to define the land use capacity it’s searching to reduce the risk of degradation. Therefore, the Minimum Formula was used and the determination of soil use capacity classes was used from: effective soil depth, texture, permeability, slope, erosion, limiting factors and it’s current use in each one of the three areas. After the analyses, were identified that the areas studied have a high degree of natural fertility, however, the area “E” is the one that presents a greater potential risk of future degradation in relation to the other two areas. With those results, it was possible to identify and indicate which activity best fits in each area, considering its current state.
